Counsel (Flexible)
Location: Truckee, CA | Remote or Hybrid Available
Apricity Law is seeking an experienced, self-directed attorney for a Counsel-level role under a high-autonomy, revenue-share model. This position is designed for a lawyer who maintains their own book of business or can independently generate client matters, and who wants strong infrastructure support without traditional firm overhead.
This is a production-based role with flexible scheduling, minimal internal bureaucracy, and full practice support. The attorney will handle substantive legal work directly with clients while leveraging the firm’s systems, brand, and operational platform.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Deep knowledge in one or more areas: civil litigation, business, real estate, or estate planning
Comfortable working independently while collaborating on strategy and client matters
Must be licensed in California
Compensation Structure:
Target 80% attorney / 20% firm split on collected revenue
No salary draw (unless separately negotiated)
Firm covers core infrastructure and platform costs
Attorney responsible for personal licensing and bar dues
Malpractice coverage provided or cost-shared depending on book size
Litigation Associate Attorney
Apricity Law is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney who can independently manage contested matters from intake through resolution. This is not an entry-level role. The position is designed for a litigation attorney who is comfortable taking ownership of cases, appearing in court, managing deadlines, drafting substantive filings, and driving strategy with limited supervision.
The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to build a strong litigation portfolio within a growing business and real estate–focused practice.
Core Responsibilities:
Independently handle litigation matters from pre-filing through trial or resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, oppositions, and discovery without templates-only reliance
Manage written discovery and depositions
Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and strategy analyses
Appear at hearings and case management conferences
Meet and confer with opposing counsel and prepare stipulations
Advise clients on risk, settlement posture, and litigation strategy
Manage deadlines, calendars, and procedural compliance
Coordinate with staff on filings and case workflow
Required Qualifications:
Active California Bar license (in good standing)
Minimum 3–6 years litigation experience (business, real estate, or civil preferred)
Demonstrated ability to run matters with limited oversight
Strong motion practice and discovery experience
Court appearance experience required
Excellent legal writing and procedural command
Ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously
Professional client communication skills

This role includes drafting legal documents, managing filings, conducting research, and assisting with client communication and file organization. Key Qualifications:
